Emergence of drug resistance TB in the
recent years has posed a great problem with handling the disease. Irregular and
misuse of TB drug isoniazid has been one of the major causes for it.
Co-infection of TB with HIV makes handling the disease even more complex for
administration of anti tuberculosis drugs.
Also, the major vaccine against the disease, Baccillus Calmette-Guerin
(BCG) has its own side effects and in some cases has been inefficient in
preventing the disease.
